Each room opens out to a private patio overlooking lush vineyards, award winning landscaped gardens and the majestic Helderberg Mountains. The Governors Hall Restaurant is open daily to serve guest fine cuisine with an accent of local flavors. The vines planted in the early 1900s have made way for new ones originating mainly from France. We will go for wine tasting at the  Lanzerac Estate. The bays at Hermanus are deep, allowing the whales to come within meters of the shore and the high cliffs afford whale watchers excellent views.

Hermanus even has a “Whale Crier”, who announces where the best sightings are. We check into The Marine Hotel. Perched on the edge of the cliffs, The Marine enjoys unbroken views of the ocean. Cape Wine Estate Information:
Lanzerac Winery - Western Cape Winelands - Stellenbosch

In the amphitheatre of life, the peaks of enjoyment are to be found in the babble of a brook, the whisper of a breeze and the cheer of a warm sun. These are the special qualities that you will find in Lanzerac wines - wines as majestic and celebrated as the estate from which they were borne.

Today, the great Lanzerac legacy is cultivated by owner Dr. Christo Wiese and wine maker extraordinaire Wynand Hamman. This includes the honour of producing the world's first Pinotage and numerous national and international awards and accolades.

A legacy that stands testimony. Truly, from Beauty does come Beauty.

Backsberg Estate - Western Cape Winelands - Paarl

The philosophy of Backsberg remains that of providing pleasure and enjoyment to a broad range of wine lovers by producing wines not only with structure and finesse, but with a high level of "drinkability". Simply put, if you find our wines easy to drink and, above all, enjoyable, then we have been successful.

As an Estate we are able to initiate and follow this whole process from the growing of the young vine till the bottling of our finished product. We furthermore believe that our wines should be priced to reach the tables of as many wine drinkers as possible so that all can share in some of the magic that is Backsberg.

Backsberg has been selected as one of the Top 100 Wineries of the Year by Wine & Spirits Magazine in New York. Wineries are chosen based on consistently high performance and scores throughout a 12 month tasting cycle.

Chamonix Wine Farm - Western Cape Winelands - Franschhoek

Cape Chamonix Wine Farm is situated on the eastern mountain slopes of the fertile Franschoek Valley to the north of Cape Town.

Cape Chamonix Wine Farm produces a range of premium wines that capture the essence and splendor of the estate. Chamonix also produces export fruit, and a superior German-style schnapps. A range of flavored spring waters and a variety of bar mixers is bottled from the spring deep within the mountains on the farm.

Chamonix has in the past decade become synonymous with Chardonnay. Other award-winning wines are Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Pinotage, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
