You will see spring wild flowers on this tour. We will depart at 08:00 am
from your Cape Town city hotel to the flowers of Darling and a tee stop, and then on to
Yzerfontein where the sea enriches. Next we visit the West Coast National Park and
Postberg Flower Reserve. We enjoy a picnic lunch in the flowers. After lunch onto
Langebaan and Saldanha Bay where we will search for more interesting places.
we will return to Cape Town in the late afternoon.

Langebaan & Saldanha Bay Travel Information
|
The protected lagoon of Langebaan belongs to the Capetonian's most popular
water sports resorts. Here you can sail, windsurf and kayak without being directly exposed to the mighty breakers of the Atlantic Ocean.
On the northern tip of the lagoon lies the harbor town of Saldanha. In the seventies, the former fishing
harbor was converted into one of the biggest seaports in South Africa for the export of iron-ore from the Kimberley region. The steel production plant "Saldanha Steel" was opened in the mid-nineties and the lights brighten up the sky over Langebaan every night.
Saldanha Bay has a surprisingly beautiful beach Strand with excellent windsurfing spots and
cozy, affordable guest houses.
That is why seaside resort, Langebaan has grown considerably over the few last years, and new holiday settlements and apartment houses are continuously being built. There are many guest houses, hotels and even a camping ground to choose from. The holiday resort "Club Mykonos" also has a casino. In and around Langebaan there is a good variety of restaurants. The famous Strandloper Restaurant offers a fish buffet with crayfish and mussels al fresco right on the beach.
